# Brand Name Regulation for SMS

## Carriers in Malaysia have instituted the requirement to include either the brand name or name of the party providing the content in each SMS effective on 19th June, 2023.

To ensure continuity of the SMS delivery services, we shall implement a unique institute code on the SMS header that will be automatically included in every SMS sent out from our system with the following format:

**\<COUNTRYCODE\> \<ENCOREMED INSTITUTE CODE\> i.e. MY-EMDKUL.** 

**RM0 MY-EMDKUL: Your appointment at EncoreMed Hospital for Dr Nazmuddin has been scheduled on 2023-05-05 @ 19:00. Use this appointment code: DR0241X for reference.**

**\*Highlighted is a default SMS header (total 15 characters).**

Gentle reminder, the unique institute codes are pre-defined from our end accordingly.
